EXPERIENCE MALAYBALAY CITY

The city, dubbed as the "South Summer Capital of the Philippines", is bordered north by Impasugong; west by Lantapan, Bukidnon south by the City of Valencia and San Fernando, Bukidnon and east by Cabanglasan, Bukidnon and the Province of Agusan Del Sur.
It was formerly part of the province of Misamis Oriental as a municipal district in the late 19th century. When the special province of Agusan now Agusan del Norte and Agusan del Sur and its sub-province Bukidnon were created in 1907, Malaybalay was designated as the capital of Bukidnon. It was then formally established as a municipality on October 19, 1907 and was created into a city on February 11, 1998 by virtue of Republic Act
For the uninitiated, the Kaamulan Grounds is a nature park in Bukidnon and is home to many “tulugans” (sleeping places). You can also find the Folk Arts Theater and the Bukidnon Tourism Office at the Kaamulan Grounds. However, the main reason why a lot of locals and tourists alike visit the Kaamulan Grounds Bukidnon is because it is the testament of Bukidnon’s rich culture and fascinating mix of tribes
At the Bukidnon Kaamulan Grounds, you can feel and appreciate not only the beauty of nature but of diversity and tradition as well. Bukidnon is home to 7 hill tribes namely Bukidnon, Higaonon, Talaandig, Manobo, Matigsalug, Tigwahanon and Umayamnon.

the house behind my back is a tuluganan made from the LGU. its absolutely free.

Legend says that Malaybalay got its name during an encounter of the local children of the place to the Spanish explorers. These explorers met children playing at the lower part of the Sawaga. The saoldiers asked these children about the name of the place. Thinking that the explorers were asking about what they were doing, the children answered “tagbalaybalay kay” (we are playing house). The soldiers thought the name of the place was Malaybalay, so they record the name Malaybalay as the name of the place since then
the cool breeze and the fresh air makes you feel very relaxed. but if you come here you have to bring someone with you of course for the pictorial. but you can do also extra activities here such as jogging or just walking or you can just have family picnic here. but please be mindful about your trashes.

its so relaxing and it is so amazing realizing how amazing god. for it is he who created these beautiful nature that makes us live in peace and how beautiful the world is. it is nice to know that we have these nature we can enjoy, and I really hope this would be preserve forever.
pinetrees are the trees which makes the folk arts very beautiful,. its cold during morning an even up to evening. if I would be given a chance to live here I would sleep because it feels so good being here. together with your partner and you just have to drink with a coffee from the monastery. there are also houses here which they called a tuluganan. provided by the Local Government Units. a walking distance wth this is a stage where the LAGA TA Pageant will be held. it is annually celebrated by the different ribes of bukidnon

When you're in Malaybalay City, you can just take a motorela (public utility tricycle) and ask the driver to take you to the Kaamulan Grounds - Folk Arts. It's well within city limits and just behind the Provincial Government buildings. The fare is just 7php going to the area and when going back to the highway, since only few public utility roaming the said area, you can just walk going up and take a motorela going to the main highway.

KAAMULAN FESTIVAL

an ethnic cultural festival held annually in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon in the Philippines from the second half of February to March 10, the anniversary date of the foundation of Bukidnon as a province in 1917. It is held to celebrate the culture and tradition of the seven ethnic tribal groups—Bukidnon, Higaonon, Talaandig, Manobo, Matigsalug, Tigwahanon and Umayamnon—that originally inhabit the province. It is the only ethnic festival in the Philippines.
Kaamulan comes from the Binukid word “amul” meaning to gather. Kaamulan is gathering for a purpose—a datuship ritual, a wedding ceremony, a thanksgiving festival during harvest time, a peace pact, or all of these together.
Kaamulan started as a festival on May 15, 1974, during the fiesta celebration of the then municipality of Malaybalay. A town official thought of inviting some indigenous people to town and made them perform a few dance steps at Plaza Rizal to enliven the fiesta celebration. The celebration however proved very popular and together with national coverage the Kaamulan festival has become the regional festival of Northern Mindanao, as declared by the Regional Development Council of Region 10 on September 16, 1977. Kaamulan was formerly held in the first week of September but in 1996, it was transferred to the present date to synchronize it with the foundation celebration of the province until in 2014 it was moved to the month of August in light of the 100th Founding Anniversary of Bukidnon.

MONASTERY OF TRANSFIGURATION

Inaugurated in 1983, the pyramid-like structure of the monastery's church, which was designed by National Artist for Architecture Leandro Locsin, has been an eye candy for tourists. Policarpo Sedenio, a college professor who lives in Maramag, an hour away from the monastery, said he always makes sure to attend Sunday masses in the monastery because this is where he finds peace from all his sins.

Situated on a hill in the village of San Jose away from the noisy crowd is a place where one can find refuge and seek peace.Home of the Benedictine monks, the Monastery of the Transfiguration has been a top destination for pilgrims during Holy Week in the province of Bukidnon.
"Napaka-solemn kasi tapos parang nawawala 'yung kasalanan. I find this place very nice," said Policarpo.
An added attraction to the monastery is their two-storey museum which houses the vestment collection of monk Fr. Dom Martin Gomez, a famous couturier in the '70s who dressed former first lady Imelda Marcos.Included in his works are vestments made of piƱa and abaca fiber.Entrance is free in the monastery but the monks reminded tourists to keep silent to maintain the holiness of the place.

American missionary Michael Green, who is based in Taiwan, also described the monastery as the most beautiful place in the Philippines."It's great to be back. I love the place, I love Benedictines. I went to a Benedictine College run by Benedictine monks and sisters so they are very very close to my heart. I gotta believe this is the most beautiful place in the Philippines," said Green.

We sometimes join activities like planting trees to preserve and maintain the beauty of nature, and one of these was planting mangrove trees. In Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental, there was this place that they use to call it as BOARDWALK where there are islets of mangrove trees.

A beautiful trees, A clean environment, A fresh water, and a white sand. these are the things that you may enjoy here on TUBAJON AQUA MARINE PARK. it's about a 30 minutes away from Poblacion, Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental. and 1hour away from the City of Golden Friendship which is the Cagayan de oro.

this place was THE PERFECT PLACE to hangout with friends or even with your family, this may be far away from the place which it was actually located but I tell you, its gonna be worth it.
they have different types of cottages here and each cottages has its own stairs to go into the water. You may be feel relaxed once you get here. The wind coming from the sea and a cold water under mangrove trees was a perfect combination to relax with. the picture may look green but if you will see it in person, the sand were white. VILLA AMPARO RESORT SAMAL, DAVAO CITY

This place is located at Samal Island Davao City. it is a resort and it has an infinty pool. with beach. you can check in here but its a slight expensive this place is best to travel with love ones. however, to get here is a hassle one. you have to fall in line with so many cars. but if you commute i think its easier that way. it takes only apporximately 10 mins with ferry to travel samal island its as wide as Camiguin but there is a lot of beaches and resort in Samal.

Villa Amparo is one of the best resort together with its rival SECDEA. every year they have a lot of vistors coming from different regions of Philippines. its quite far away from the port of Samal. But the experience is gotta be worth the wait.

Villa Amparo Garden Beach Resort should be included in your list of must-visit resorts in Samal Island. Positioned in Sitio Dasag, Baranggay Camudmud, Villa Amaparo has a beautiful coastline of white sand with clear blue waters that is idyllic for sun-bathing and swimming. Also, being strategically far from the commercial area of the city, the whole region of the resort is recognized as a fish haven, rich in colorful aquatic wildlife. Truly, Villa Amparo is a nice tourist site where you can enjoy a wide variety of water sports such as snorkeling, jet-ski and diving. Undeniably a great location for activities such as birthdays, outings, team-building, weddings and a whole lot more.

REVIEW: t's nice here. Me, and my group mates in research was able to spent an overnight here. We arrived around 5 in the afternoon and sadly, we didn't able to avail the day tour fee which is 150 pesos and opt to avail the overnight fee which is 200 pesos. We just checked-out around 2 in the morning since we didn't pay for a room. The cottages were nice and the employees were nice as well. Although most of the seafloor part were rocky, the seawater was clean. They have a well maintained facilities so far. Our bad because that time, the construction of the pool was still on-going.
